Pin Posts to the Top of your Timeline

You may or may not be aware of this feature. This often gets overlooked and can be very important. If you have an important message that you want all of your followers to see you should use the ‘Pin to Top’ button after you have created the post. This will ensure that the post will be the very first post your followers see every time they come to your Facebook Page (until you unpin it).

Let’s say you have a huge event coming up for Memorial Day. Maybe a large sale at your retail business and you have created an image for the event that you want to load with some content explaining the sale. Make your post, load the image, and after you have saved it click on the downward-facing arrow at the top right corner of the post. Then click ‘Post to Top’. This will ensure that this post is the very first post that shows up on your page when followers view your page. This is a great marketing technique for ensuring people see your event information.
